Con ARCI bxl siamo entusiast3 di sostenere la lista @orizzonticondivisi.comitesbxl , e in particolare @eligambards , co-fondatrice e presidente di ARCI Bxl che rappresenta i valori che muovono il nostro attivismo. Il sistema per votare é complesso e abbiamo provato a spiegarlo al meglio in modo da rendere la partecipazione il più attiva e forte possibile. Scriveteci se avete qualsiasi domanda! Join our volunteers group this year! 🧚🏻‍♀️ What can you expect? It’s a WhatsApp group where we write our calls for action in proximity of events and meetings. Volunteers can register and support with the task they prefer. (Link in bio) What’s on the menu:
🍝 Cooking & room service at our monthly apéros 🎤 Supporting debates, presentations and events
🍻 Bar duty (yes, volunteers get their free spritz)

This time, we are handing the stage over to you: whether you sing, recite a poem, play an instrument, act or want to read something - come! we’ll put the space, microphones and a crowd, you bring your creativity. Join the ARCI BXL team for the annual Refugee Walk on Sunday 4 October, in the Brussels countryside 🥾🌿 The @refugeewalk is a charity event that raises funds to support and welcome refugees and asylum seekers in Belgium, to ensure that everyone can feel at home. 🐾 The 20 km route starts in Brussels at 11:00 💰 Each participant commits to raising a minimum of €25 in donations. Registration fee 10€.

Torna l’attesissimo lab teatrale in italiano di ARCI BXL con @sofiarital ! 🎭 📅 Quando? Il laboratorio è settimanale, di martedì 19-21:30. Inizia il 29 settembre e termina a fine marzo. 📍 Dove? Elzenhof (Ixelles). 💰 Prezzo? 360 + 10€ di tessera Arci. Possibilità di pagare in due rate (190€ per l’iscrizione + 180€ a Gennaio). Chi ci sarà? Il gruppo sarà composto da massimo 16 persone, in modo da garantire a tutti un’esperienza quanto più piacevole e formativa possibile e permettere di ritagliare dei momenti di lavoro individuale con la professoressa Sofia. Per chi è? Il corso è aperto a tutti, da nuovi avventurieri a chi ha già un po’ d’esperienza. Nei quattro anni abbiamo avuto alunni con un passato semiprofessionale e persone che, invece, si approcciavano al teatro per la prima volta. Dear ARCI friends, the registration for our annual General Assembly on Sunday 27 September (11.00 - 13.00) are now open. To start the year with good energy, after the Assembly you are all warmly invited to join us for a social lunch prepared by chef @rasminacook at @bosch_tanneurs 🍲 📝 Register before 21 September (link in bio). Registered members receive all GA documents by 22 Sept, and it helps us organise the lunch. Non-registered participants will still have the possibility to take part in the GA. In order to hold voting rights, participants must renew their ARCI membership for 2026-2027, which you’ll be able to do on the spot (10 EUR, cash or card) If you have any questions on anything related to the GA, get in touch 📨 We look forward to seeing you at the Assembly and continuing this wonderful adventure with you all! ❤️‍🔥 Did you know? Across Europe, the gendered dimensions of the hous

Across Europe, the gendered dimensions of the housing crisis remain largely invisible in mainstream policy. In Brussels, womxn and children - single parents, queer people, older womxn, vulnerable people in precarious employment or of migrant background - are disproportionately exposed to housing insecurity. When public institutions fail to protect those most at risk, associations are forced to fill the gaps. For years, Angela.D did exactly that. Grounded in the conviction that housing is a transfeminist political issue, it built concrete alternatives to speculation through projects like CALICO (Care and Living in Community) in Forest, where it coordinated ten anti-speculative homes for womxn in precarious situations. Today, Angela.D has been forced to part ways with its entire team due to a lack of funding. The reason? The Brussels Government crisis and the budget cuts, in a context of increased insecurity due to the Arizona coalition’s approach. Today, we risk losing their expertise in transfeminist housing practices and unique knowledge. We cannot let that happen. Share this post and sign their petition (link in bio)

Join us next Saturday 13 June on the occasion of the second edition of Festa Italiana by @comitesbruxelles 🇮🇹 It will be a day full of music, good food, cultural activities and much more, organised by the Italian associations in Brussels. Arci Bruxelles will be there with a stand and – after the success of Avril Antifasciste – we are ready for another crochet moment. This time we will prepare a watermelon, a symbol of the Palestinian resistance. The idea is not to teach, but to create a space to slow down and just sit together, have a chat and end up with a beautiful handmade watermelon. A few rules:
🧶Bring your own needle crochet (between 3 and 6). We’ll take care of the yarn.

Lebanon is not forgotten: nearly a third of the population has been forced to flee their homes. Over 2,000 lives lost. And the bombs have not stopped - in many of the Israeli attacks, no warnings, or no reasonably effective warnings, were given, preventing many civilians from evacuating safely. Israel’s vaguely communicated blanket evacuation warnings and displacement orders – covering almost 14 per cent of Lebanon’s territory – have led to the displacement of over a million people. So we keep our eyes on Lebanon: this Saturday, join us for an evening of solidarity with Sayed Qaderi from @intal.belgique , who will speak about the situation on the ground in Lebanon — its causes, its realities, and what we can do from here. @eleonora.vasques journalist from @euronews.tv will moderate. After our debate on Colonial Heritage and Decolonisation on 26 March, we take the conversation further — this time, on the ground. ARCI Brussels is organising a decolonial guided visit to the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren, in collaboration with the Collectif Mémoire Coloniale et Lutte contre les Discriminations and ARCI volunteers Celestina and Marco. Together, we’ll walk through one of Europe’s most contested museums, exploring its colonial past and its still-unresolved present through the eyes of critical, expert guides. We will hear from two voices: a presentation of the Museum’s efforts as presented in the expo “The Congo Panorama 1913.
