The docu-film shows the courage of three women fighting for women’s rights in the world’s most conflict-ridden areas. In the midst of war and fundamentalism in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, women have grown up commanding armies, organising the escape of other women from slavery, leading secular and progressive political forces, going village by village to challenge the Talibans. Benedetta Argentieri worked with an all-female crew to tell the story of women who are not victims, who challenge the stereotype of the powerless condition of women in the Middle East. These women are evidence to the revolution that is needed everywhere. ![]()
